Responsibilities

• Direct the work activities in prearrival risk assessments, primary inspections, secondary inspections (enforcement and compliance), investigations, and intelligence collection and analysis in both inbound and outbound environments.
• Interpret the laws and regulations relating to admissibility of people, cargo, conveyances; international mail compliance; and arrival/departure of vessels and aircraft.
• Develop and maintain relationships with cooperating government agencies, port authorities, foreign entities, and other stakeholders to coordinate efforts and provide guidance on CBP laws and regulations.
