Responsibilities

• Manage one or more national programs to help detect and prevent terrorists and instruments of terror from entering/exiting the U.S.
• Direct programs that strengthen DHS homeland security and border security capabilities.
• Coordinate enforcement efforts with Field Intelligence and Analytical Units and Task Forces.
• Develop and deploy strategies to deter illegal entry of terrorists and their associates.
• Serve as liaison with high-ranking DHS officials and other Federal agencies.
• Promote accountability and operational integrity for border security initiatives.
