Job summary

Schindler Elevator Corporation (U.S.) is seeking an Area Operations Support Administrator to serve as the liaison between Field Operations and BSC Finance Managers across Area East. The role involves coordinating billing, AR/AP, payroll, and cash application, driving process improvements, and supporting cross-functional teams to ensure timely financial workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between Field Operations and BSC Finance Managers to coordinate daily activities and resolve issues related to billing, AR/AP, cash application, and payroll.
  • Establish and maintain a closed-loop communication process that ensures alignment between internal stakeholders and the customer.
  • Initiate and manage billing activities across all business lines, including creating and modifying invoices to support BSC billing operations.
  • Facilitate working sessions between billers and Field Operations to address process gaps, resolve issues, and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Coordinate and participate in regular collection meetings with BSC to monitor outstanding balances and drive resolution of AR issues.
  • Monitor accounts payable vendor holds and partner with Field Operations to ensure timely workflow completion and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with the BSC Payroll team to manage and resolve payroll escalations related to IUEC.
  • Oversee cross-functional collaboration to identify and resolve financial process issues impacting billing, AR/AP, cash application, and payroll.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction within financial operations workflows.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly KPI reports and performance updates to Area AFC, SVP, and BSC leadership.

Area Operations Support Administrator
Your Main Responsibilities

This role can be located in any field office across Area East.

  • Act as the primary liaison between Field Operations and BSC Finance Managers to coordinate daily activities and resolve issues related to billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash application, and payroll.
  • Establish and maintain a closed-loop communication process that ensures alignment between internal stakeholders and the customer.
  • Initiate and manage billing activities across all business lines, including creating and modifying invoices to support and supplement BSC billing operations.
  • Facilitate working sessions between billers and Field Operations (New Installation and Modernization) to address process gaps, resolve issues, and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Coordinate and participate in regular collection meetings with BSC to monitor outstanding balances and drive resolution of accounts receivable issues.
  • Monitor accounts payable vendor holds and partner with Field Operations to ensure timely workflow completion and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with the BSC Payroll team to manage and resolve IUEC-related payroll escalations.

  • 3+ years of support for middle management or departmental administrative functions.
  • 5+ years in an administrative assistant role or similar.
