Job summary

Amazon Inc. is seeking an Area Manager in Suffolk, VA to lead a team of hourly associates across first/last mile operations, ensuring on-time deliveries and high customer satisfaction.

You will coach staff, monitor safety, quality, attendance, and performance while coordinating with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, and HR. The role requires flexibility to work various shifts, lifting up to 49 pounds, and standing up to 12 hours.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent, or equivalent Amazon/Military experience.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, QA, HR to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for long shifts.
• Operate in variable temperatures and environments including stairs.
