Job summary

Amazon in Fargo, ND is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly employees and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery. You will engage staff across shifts, drive performance metrics, and collaborate with safety, engineering, and HR to meet business objectives.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 49 pounds and work long, variable shifts in a dynamic delivery environment. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of people management experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or

Qualifications

2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, HR to meet business objectives.
Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
Work in variable, possibly loud environments and varied temperatures.
Maintain a flexible schedule including weekends and overnight shifts.
