Job summary

The role requires budgeting, capital projects oversight, and strong people leadership to drive continuous improvement in a fast-changing environment. Travel and multi-location oversight are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of workplaces safety and implementing safety programs.
• Experience managing multiple locations across states.
• Develop and manage operating budgets for each location.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance in industrial settings.
• Project management experience and capital projects planning.
• Knowledge of supply chain logistics for truck, rail, and barges.
• Ability to lead employees at multiple locations with servant leadership.
• Experience with material handling, bulk powders, and silo storage.
• Must be able to travel regularly.
• Experience in cement industry or related field (5+ years).

Responsibilities

• Champion safety culture by participating in safety meetings and addressing staff concerns.
• Ensure terminal operations run on schedule, meet quality standards and forecasted expenses.
• Lead cost optimization studies to reduce fixed and variable costs without sacrificing quality.
• Foster a positive work environment with safety, fair compensation, and growth opportunities.
• Support community relations and uphold a positive corporate image.
• Oversee capital investments within budget, scope, and time constraints.
• Develop and execute logistics strategies aligned with business plans.
• Manage budget, capital expenditures, and full P&L accountability for the unit.
• Establish and enforce safety and environmental policies according to DOT rules.
• Analyze shipping data with Terminal Managers to improve route efficiency.
• Leverage TMS to optimize outbound shipping and system integrity.
• Develop and monitor KPIs and operational metrics.
• Oversee dispatch to ensure terminal efficiency and customer service.
• Lead recruitment, hiring, training, and performance management of Terminal Managers.
• Collaborate across departments to drive continuous improvement.
