Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager in Dekalb, IL to lead a team of hourly staff, ensure safety, quality and on-time deliveries, and drive performance across shifts. You will mentor colleagues and coordinate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, QA and HR to hit targets and improve processes.

The role requires 2+ years of people management, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays; must be able to lift up to 49 pounds and stand for

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
