Job summary

Amazon in Obetz, OH is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates, focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and timely delivery. You will mentor staff, coordinate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and HR to meet objectives, and handle physically demanding tasks in a dynamic warehouse environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent or 2+ years of Amazon experience, and a flexible schedule including weekends and nights.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds, and regularly push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in a noisy environment with variable temperatures and weather.
• Climb and descend stairs where applicable.
