Job summary

Amazon is hiring an Area Manager in Glendale, AZ to lead a team of hourly staff and ensure safety, quality, attendance, and performance while meeting customer delivery promises.

You will work with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, and Quality Assurance to meet business objectives, lifting up to 49 pounds, and standing up to 12 hours.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years of management experience, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
• Experience managing a team of 20+ employees.
• Experience with process improvements (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma).

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce

• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, HR to meet objectives
