Job summary

Amazon in Lexington, KY is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates, ensuring safety, quality, attendance, and on-time delivery. You will mentor staff, monitor performance, and coordinate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, and HR to meet business goals.

The role requires a flexible schedule, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent (or 2+ years of Amazon experience), and the ability to lift up to 49 pounds in a varied-temperature environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Valid USA state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, HR to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and perform related physical tasks.
• Stand/walk up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in a variable-temperature environment including outside loading areas.
• Climb and descend stairs at sites with stairs.
