Job summary

Senior Lifestyle Corporation in Maine is seeking a experienced nursing leader to oversee proxy caregiver training, ensure competency in medication administration, and drive annual reviews for staff.

You will conduct quarterly observations of medication aides, complete competency checklists, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with Health and Wellness Directors while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• 3+ years nursing or direct resident care experience.
• Management experience.
• Active nursing license.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel for business.
• Strong communication with residents, guests, and coworkers.
• Able to relate to ill, elderly, and emotionally upset residents.
• Compassion and patience under stress.

Responsibilities

• Train medication administration skills for the Assisted Living Department.
• Conduct proxy caregiver training upon hire and annually.
• Observe and document medication aides’ competency quarterly.
• Complete skills competency checklists for staff upon hire and annually.
• Respond quickly to emergencies.
• Maintain communication with Health and Wellness Directors.
• Provide staff in-service and education as needed.
