Responsibilities

• Provide continuous communication with Area Merchandiser for the department.
• Ensure proper presentation of merchandise: ticketing, signing, sizing, displays.
• Collaborate with buyers and managers on fixtures, layouts, and displays.
• Assist in in-store visits with buyers and area merchandiser.
• Prepare department for daily merchandise shipments.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Take inventories and maintain unit control reports.
• Fill in from under stock or back stock daily.
• Learn duties of Area Merchandiser as assigned by store manager.
• Motivate sales staff to drive productivity.
• Maintain customer service with a smile in the department.
• Promote charge accounts and gift card purchases.
• Prevent shoplifting; coordinate with security on dishonesty issues.
• Work in sales or cashier roles as needed.
