Job summary

Stake Center Locating in Illinois is seeking an experienced Locate Technician Supervisor to oversee field operations, lead teams, and ensure safety and accuracy in underground utility locating. You will mentor staff, coordinate with customers and corporate, and review PDRs and audits.

Qualifications

• Experience leading locating teams in the underground utility industry (must have field supervision background).

• Must complete company Locate Technician training program and pass testing.
• Willingness to travel and work long hours, including weekends/holidays, as required.

• Ensure staffing levels to meet load requirements; conduct staff performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clean background check for access to restricted and/or controlled areas.
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass random drug screens and to remain drug free.
• Computer literate.
• Ability to locate.
• Ability to effectively perform a PDR or damage investigation.
• Ability to interact with all involved, the public, customers, contractors, utility representatives and all those under their direction.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.

Requirements

• Experienced in effective leadership in the locating industry.

• Successfully complete company provided Locate Technician training program and pass all required testing.
• Requires long hours when necessary. May require weekend and holiday work when necessary.

• Three to five years’ experience.
