Job summary

Commercial Metals Company is seeking a Production/Shipping Manager to oversee production levels, establish goals, and promote safety across our warehouses, fabrication facilities, and mills. You will lead teams, manage inventory, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring policy compliance.

The role emphasizes strong communication, team engagement, and hands-on leadership in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Opportunities for training and advancement exist within a Fortune 500 company.

Qualifications

• 2 years of shipping and receiving experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated management skills in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals.
• Strong focus on positive work culture and employee engagement.
• Strong SAP aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Monitors production levels to ensure employees are productive and aligned with production schedules.
• Establishes departmental goals with clear work plans, both financial and non-financial.
• Champions safety and promotes safety by example in all operations.
• Enforces all company policies including safety and government safety regulations.
• Builds engagement by communicating the department's strategy and goals to the team.
• Develops a daily work plan for assigned crews.
• Responsible for inventory accuracy, cycle counts and control of all materials.
