Job summary

Commercial Metals Company in Knoxville, TN seeks a safety-focused professional to lead safety initiatives across the rolling mill and related facilities. You will drive audits, root-cause analyses, and corrective actions while coordinating with maintenance and operations to improve reliability and safety.

The role requires deep rolling mill knowledge, 5+ years of experience, strong MS Office and project management skills, and familiarity with AutoCAD. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); MS Project experience preferred; AutoCAD a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of Rolling Mill experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of rolling mill processes and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety leadership efforts, embedding safety as a core value in operations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and root-cause investigations with effective corrective actions.
• Analyze recurring issues to identify root causes and improvements with stakeholders.
• Identify and correct safety hazards, practices, and procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems and implement preventive maintenance.
