Job summary

Wilsonart International is seeking a seasoned Production Supervisor to lead nightly manufacturing operations, drive safety, quality, service and cost targets, and ensure on-time delivery on the floor.

You will manage frontline supervisors, optimize staffing and shift performance, monitor KPIs, and partner with Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve issues while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 3–5+ years in manufacturing/production leadership.
  • Experience with production scheduling, material planning, and inventory management.
  • Experience applying Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

Leads daily production operations to ensure targets for Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost are met, while driving efficiency, accountability, and team performance on the floor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee nightly production activities and ensure schedule adherence

  • Drive continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives
  • Manage labor efficiency, staffing levels, and shift performance
  • Partner with Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve issues
  • Support new product launches and process changes on the floor
  • Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with all policies
  • Coach, develop, and hold supervisors accountable for performance

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3–5+ years in manufacturing/production leadership

Experience:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of production processes, product flow, and distribution operations
  • Experience with production scheduling, material planning, and inventory management
  • Experience applying safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements in a production setting
  • Experience using computer systems to track, analyze, and report on production and inventory data
  • Experience utilizing basic math in a manufacturing environment (e.g., calculating square footage, interpreting production metrics)
  • Experience communicating effectively with all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience working both independently and collaboratively in a team-driven environment
  • Experience in applying Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles to improve operations
  • Demonstrated problem-solving experience in a fast-paced production environment

WORKING CONDITIONS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs)

SCHEDULE:

This role will require a selected candidate to work 9 pm - 7 am Monday through Friday with weekend schedules or overtime as needed.
