Job summary

Area Manager in Lapeer, MI oversees daily cleaning operations and leads site supervisors to deliver top-tier janitorial services across our facilities. You will be the primary liaison between client contacts and ground operations, ensuring high standards, efficiency, and SLA compliance.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of supervisory experience in commercial cleaning or facilities management, with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Experience as a supervisor/manager in commercial cleaning, facilities management, hospitality, or operational logistics.
• Strong leadership abilities to manage, motivate, and hold teams across multiple shifts and locations.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for client relations and team management.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record for travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Direct and support on-site supervisors and cleaning crews across multiple client locations to maintain cleaning quality and consistency.
• Client Relationship Management: Conduct site walkthroughs, respond to customer requests, and cultivate long-term relationships with facility administrators.
• Staffing & Team Development: Oversee hiring, onboarding, and continuous training for cleaning staff; foster a productive and safe work culture.
• Quality Control & Auditing: Perform routine site inspections, generate performance reports, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Resource & Expense Management: Monitor equipment maintenance, chemical inventory, labor hours, and keep operations within budget.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, OSHA guidelines, hazard communications, and local safety regulations.
