Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager Intern for a 10-week summer program (40 hours/week) located in one of its fulfillment centers or operations buildings. You will learn to coach and mentor a team of hourly associates and lead a site internship project under site leadership guidance.

Key focus areas include coaching, safety, quality, and productivity while balancing staffing and resources to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with expected completion between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program for Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Learn to coach, manage and develop a team of 50–100 Amazon Associates.
• Drive standard work and continuous improvement through an intern project.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Willing to regularly work shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays with a 4-day work week when possible.
• Oversee truck deliveries, sort packages using pallet jacks, operate PIT equipment as applicable.
• Raise safety and productivity through on-the-floor leadership and real-time decisions.
• Develop and document your internship project.
