Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in California is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly staff and ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery to customers. You will engage the workforce during shifts and coordinate with Safety, Engineering, and HR to hit business objectives.

The role requires 2+ years of people management or equivalent experience, a Bachelor’s degree or related Amazon experience, and a flexible schedule including weekends and nights.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
