Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates at a fulfillment center in the United States. You will drive safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery while mentoring staff and coordinating with Safety, HR, and Engineering teams.

The role requires managing performance across shifts, lifting up to 49 lbs, and standing for long hours in variable conditions. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or significant Amazon/military experience, is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent, OR 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience, OR 6+ years of Military Experience.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud.
