Job summary

HelloFresh in Irving, TX is seeking an Area Manager II to oversee multiple production lines and lead a team of shift hourly associates. You will coach, train, and provide necessary tools while ensuring production targets, safety, and quality are met.

This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to communicate across shifts. Flexible shift requirements are included to cover operational needs; compensation aligns with market norms for a supervisory production role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or related work experience is required.
• Preferred: 1-3 years supervisory experience in a production environment.
• Shift flexibility is required.

Responsibilities

• Respectfully communicate with all employees and leads.
• Provide coaching and development to shift hourly associates.
• Provide all employees with necessary tools, proper training and corrective direction.
• Report information and update managers throughout every shift with knowledge of that day’s production.
• Resolve employee issues through appropriate problem resolution.
• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
• Work to continuously improve processes.
• Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to Associate Production Manager/Manager during the shift.
• Submit paperwork at the end of the shift.
• Conduct daily shift meetings and safety meetings with employees.
• Conduct interviews for nonexempt shifts within the department.
• Perform accident investigations.
• Manage department priorities as situations arise.
• Track absenteeism and timekeeping daily.
• Perform accident investigations and notify management as appropriate.
