Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager in Wilmer, TX to lead a team of hourly staff and ensure safety, quality, attendance and performance while meeting customer delivery expectations.

You will collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, QA and HR to execute plans; the role requires lifting up to 49 pounds, standing up to 12 hours, and flexibility for weekends and nights. Amazon offers competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
• Experience managing a team of 20+ employees.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, QA, HR to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for long shifts.
• Work in variable temperatures and weather at delivery stations.
• Lead and participate in continuous improvements across the site.
