Job summary

OnTrac in Boise, ID is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team in a fast-paced, onsite facility. You will supervise Package Handlers and Lead Handlers, drive safety, quality, and productivity, and coach staff to meet daily targets.

Requirements include a GED or Diploma (BA/BS preferred), 2+ years in logistics with 1+ year in leadership, and solid data-analysis and MS Office skills. Salary ranges from $63,840 to $95,760 plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Location: 1175 Boeing St., Boise, ID 83705. This position is performed onsite at one of the Company’s operational facilities, unless otherwise specified in the job posting.

Compensation: The expected starting base pay range for this position is $63,840 - $79,800, with a full potential base salary range over a successful candidate’s tenure in the position of $79,800 - $95,760. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other job-related factors.

Shift: Tuesday through Saturday from 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Hours may vary based on business needs.

The Must-Haves

• GED/Diploma required, BA/BS college degree in related discipline preferred
• A minimum of 2 years of industry experience – (ex. logistics, shipping, 3PL) with at least 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience
• Ability to effectively evaluate and summarize data and present answers to questions
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office and mathematical skills
• Effective communication skills including the ability to give honest, constructive feedback
• Experience with hiring, training, motivating, disciplining, and completing performance evaluations for employees

Your Mission In Motion

• Manage, staff and schedule a team of Package Handlers and Lead Package Handlers in an assigned area in the facility to ensure quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
• Monitor employee progress, provide ongoing feedback, identify areas for improvement, and address performance/attendance.
• Conduct pre-sort meetings, keeping employees informed of daily goals, upcoming events, and safety priorities. Maintain an open line of communication to engage employees.
• Record and manage the departures/arrivals of and the flow of volume from designated Linehauls.
• Execute various administrative duties, including but not limited to, safety training, operational audits, and end of shift reporting.
