Job summary

Pritchard Industries in Jacksonville, FL is hiring an Area Manager to lead janitorial staff, schedule shifts, monitor attendance, and report performance. This role requires coordinating payroll timesheets and maintaining a productive relationship with customers and union representatives.

The Area Manager will also manage inventory, provide staff training, resolve conflicts, and ensure safety and quality standards across sites.

Responsibilities

• Assigning janitorial duties to staff and regularly inspecting their work to ensure that established standards are met.
• Issuing cleaning supplies and equipment to janitorial staff as needed.
• Taking inventory of all cleaning supplies and equipment and informing management when supplies are depleted.
• Demonstrate sound knowledge of various cleaning methods.
• Providing training and guidance to janitorial staff.
• Resolving conflicts between janitorial staff in an efficient manner.
• Attending meetings and in-service training sessions as required.
• Performing all janitorial duties necessary in instances of staff shortages.
• Review and Approve Payroll Timesheets for assigned locations.
• Handle and Report Accidents
• Manage and Report changes or matters related to Non-Union and Union Employees.
• Maintain a rapport with customers and Union Representative(s).

Job description

• Pay or shift range: $60,000 USD to $80,000 USD
  The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

We are looking to hire an Area Manager to our team in Jacksonville, FL. The Area Manager's responsibilities include scheduling staff shifts, monitoring staff attendance, reporting absences, and conducting staff performance reviews. You should also be able to make recommendations to management regarding promotions, transfers, and dismissals.
