The Area Manager – EVS is responsible for overseeing environmental services operations across medical facilities in the tri-county area. This role ensures a clean, sanitary, and safe environment while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and company standards. The manager leads a team, manages staffing, ensures quality control, and supports operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily cleaning operations and ensure compliance with sanitation standards.
• Conduct quality inspections and respond to client requests within 24 hours.
• Manage staffing schedules based on facility needs and patient volume.
• Train and coach team members and supervisors; support recruitment and succession planning.
• Monitor budgets, labor hours, and job profitability; collaborate with accounting.
• Maintain operational equipment and manage supply orders.
• Handle customer complaints and coordinate with sales on service issues.
• Ensure safety practices are followed and documentation is completed on time.
• Maintain a nighttime presence for training and compliance checks.
• Conduct regular client walk-throughs and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; healthcare EVS experience preferred.
• 2+ years of managerial experience.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (especially Outlook 365).
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and be on call as needed.
