Role Description The Area Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Columbus, OH, responsible for overseeing custodial operations across multiple client locations. The role includes managing site supervisors and custodial teams, organizing schedules, and ensuring service standards, safety protocols, and client expectations are consistently met. The Area Manager will conduct site inspections, monitor performance metrics, and implement process improvements to maintain quality and efficiency. This role also involves resolving issues promptly, managing supplies and equipment, and supporting hiring, onboarding, and training efforts for team members. The Area Manager will be responsible for covering shifts and supporting any coverage required for additional cleaning/project work as needed.

• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop diverse staff groups.
• Solid organizational and time management abilities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and follow-through on tasks.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with clients, team members, and management, both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of safety, cleanliness, and building maintenance standards, with commitment to regulatory and company compliance.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to address operational challenges in a timely, practical manner.
• Comfort with basic technology tools (email, spreadsheets, scheduling software) for reporting and coordination.
• Previous supervisory experience in a service-based, custodial, or facilities environment; experience in real estate or property management is an advantage.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; postsecondary education in business, management, or a related field is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Columbus, OH, with regular travel between assigned facilities as needed.
