Job summary

Preiss is seeking an Area Maintenance Technician to support The Nest at 4955 and Plato's Lofts at Randall in Wilmington, NC. You’ll perform general and preventative maintenance across multifamily properties, conduct resident inspections, and help prepare units for new occupancy.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of maintenance experience in multi-housing, and HVAC certification preferred.

Area Maintenance Technician:

Area Maintenance Technicians are responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures.

• General maintenance, preventative maintenance and safety at the properties
• Resident inspections
• Cleanliness and appeal of the property
• Preparing units for new occupancy and grounds-keeping
• Assist with Property Turn

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year apartment or multi-housing maintenance experience required, with 2+ years preferred
• HVAC certification preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for long periods of time;
• Ability to use hands and fingers;
• Ability to speak, see, and hear;
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, and pull;
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds;
• Ability to walk and climb stairs;
• Ability to think, concentrate, and communicate;
