Cascades Healthcare Lincoln Idaho is seeking a Full-time Area Maintenance Director to oversee preventive maintenance and compliance for a skilled nursing facility. You will manage staff, budget, inspections, and emergency drills while maintaining positive resident relations.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, strong English communication, and at least two years of healthcare maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English; Spanish is a plus.
• Minimum of two years of maintenance experience (healthcare setting preferred).
• Basic management and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50–100 lbs. without assistance.
• Able to climb and work on ladders.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and oversees preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
• Ensures compliance with regulations for skilled nursing facilities.
• Maintains professional relationships with staff, vendors, and inspectors.
• Conducts routine inspections of equipment, systems, and life safety measures.
• Leads facility emergency preparedness drills.
• Manages departmental budget under Administrator direction.
• Engages positively with residents.
• Supervises maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry staff, including hiring support.
• Safely operates hand tools and small power tools.
• Provides staff training on safety, fire protocols, and regulatory requirements.
