Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking an Area Human Resources Manager to partner with communities across New York and Connecticut, including Stamford and Wilton. The role requires regular travel to support on-site HR initiatives and ensure staffing, onboarding, and compliance standards are met.

Responsibilities include leading recruitment, onboarding, HRIS maintenance, employee relations, and policy training while driving engagement and ensuring regulatory documentation is complete.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in HR, Business, or related field.
• 2+ years HR experience (healthcare or senior living preferred).
• Supervisory and employee relations experience.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance practices.
• Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle recruitment, job fairs, and hiring processes.
• Ensure compliance with Sunrise Hiring Standards and employment laws.
• Lead onboarding, orientation, and system access for new team members.
• Maintain HRIS, ATS, personnel files, and regulatory documentation.
• Manage unemployment and workers’ compensation claims.
• Serve as HR partner to department leaders on performance management.
• Lead employee relations matters and internal investigations.
• Drive team member engagement initiatives and action planning.
• Deliver HR systems and policy training for front-line staff.
• Maintain audit readiness and complete monthly compliance controls (MKCC).

What We’re Looking For:

$68,000.00 - $85,000.00
