Pittsburgh, PA - Roswell Dr - Filling industrial
Youngstown, OH - Retail shop

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

  • Locations: Cleveland, Columbus, Pittsburgh areas
  • 25% travel locally/regionally on a weekly basis, covering OH and W PA
  • Based at an Airgas facility, hybrid flexibility.

The HR Manager partners with regional leadership teams to provide leadership and execution in talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, employee relations, labor relations, training, talent management, organizational development, HR compliance, and special projects. Responsibilities include coordinating activities with HR specialists, leading change initiatives, and developing strong partnerships with business leaders.

  • Develops trusted partnerships with business leaders, advising on organizational effectiveness, talent management, employee relations, and coaching.
  • Leads onboarding processes, ensuring effective integration and retention of new hires.
  • Partners with leaders on immersion processes for new sales and operations staff to ensure early contribution.
  • Coordinates with Payroll and HR for personnel changes processing.
  • Administers salary actions, leads annual salary reviews, and ensures fair wage structures.
  • Facilitates performance calibration processes for consistent performance management.
  • Addresses employee relations issues, conducts interviews, and investigates as needed.
  • Advises managers on performance management, corrective actions, and documentation.
  • Administers HR policies, recommends revisions, and ensures legal compliance.
  • Contributes to HR strategy development and implements workforce improvement initiatives.
  • Develops and delivers talent development and training programs.

Are you a MATCH?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years supporting a production, distribution, industrial, or retail workforce at multiple sites.
  • Organized labor experience is preferred.
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) preferred.
  • Understanding of HR principles, employment laws, and ER investigations.
  • Personable, professional, responsive, credible, and value-driven.
  • Knowledge of HRIS and related systems.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Intermediate MS Office or Google Applications skills.
  • Occasional overnight travel (~25%).
  • Adherence to safety programs and regulations.
