Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure is seeking a strategic Area HR Manager to strengthen our business by optimizing talent across Kalamazoo, MI; Elgin, IL; Romeoville, IL; Lombard, IL. You will report to the Regional HR Director and partner with the Area GM to ensure the right people are in place while driving engagement and development.

The role involves leading HR projects, coaching leaders, managing performance, and guiding compensation processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years in HR business partner or management role.
• Spanish language skills preferred.
• Results oriented with fact-based decision making.
• Coachable and capable of developing others.
• Effective communicator with strong project management.
• Strong business acumen.
• Ability to manage competing priorities.
• Team builder; works well in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in key HR projects aligned to strategy and improve our business.
• Ensure 100% compliance through consistent application and integration of policies and practices.
• Influence and communicate with all levels of the organization, from Production to Senior Leadership.
• Coach Area General Managers and Front-Line Leaders.
• Resolve employee relations issues and counsel leaders on performance matters.
• Drive engagement initiatives and employee advocacy across locations.
• Lead compensation planning, merit and bonus processes.
• Facilitate talent reviews and performance management using contemporary tools.
• Collaborate with Union leadership to maintain positive relations where applicable.
• Oversee compensation planning and annual merit/bonus processes.
