Job summary

Altabank, a division of Glacier Bank, seeks a Float Assistant Retail Branch Manager to provide leadership and coverage across multiple Utah branches. You will support branch operations, coaching, audits, and regulatory compliance while ensuring consistent customer experience and sales execution.

The role requires coordinating with branch managers, traveling within the area, and adapting to changing business needs. Notary status and strong customer service skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage across an assigned Area based on business needs.
• Perform all Relationship Banker III and/or Assistant Retail Branch Manager responsibilities while assigned to a branch.
• Assist Retail Branch Managers in achieving branch sales, service, deposit growth, and customer relationship goals.
• Support Retail Branch Manager as an additional branch leader when assigned, ensuring daily branch operations are conducted effectively.
• Support staffing needs by onboarding, training, mentoring, coaching, and development of employees across the area.
• Maintain proficiency in branch operations, account opening, customer problem resolution, and balancing procedures.
• Drive sales activities through customer outreach, referrals, and relationship-building efforts.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and exceptional customer service across branches.
• Monitor and reinforce compliance with procedures, controls, and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist with branch self-audits, operational reviews, and corrective actions to ensure policy adherence.
• In the absence of Retail Branch Manager, handle escalated customer inquiries and complaints.
• Assist in conducting branch meetings and coaching sessions with employees.
• Support implementation of Retail Banking initiatives and process improvements.
• Travel between branch locations and occasionally outside the area for training/meetings.
