Area Field Service Project Manager

Position Overview:

This position reports to the Service Manager and is responsible for managing field service projects in the US North Region. The Area Field Project Manager (AFPM) will ensure safe, efficient, profitable, and effective project execution aligned with ABB Electrification Service (ELSE) performance goals. The work model is remote, ideally based in the Northeast (#Li-Remote).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage service projects, including T&M and fixed-price jobs.
2. Ensure HSE compliance, manage materials and vendor relations, and handle documentation.
3. Develop project schedules, coordinate deliveries, and manage invoicing.
4. Monitor and control project profits and costs, update forecasting tools, and handle change orders.
5. Maintain customer relationships and serve as the primary contact for project-related inquiries.
6. Support margin enhancement and risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business preferred, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Project management experience; PMP certification is a plus.
• Proficiency with SAP, MS Office Suite, and ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience working in diverse cultural environments.
• Legal work authorization in the US is required.
