Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Multi-Office Leader (Area Experience Leader) to oversee 4-6 retail offices, driving a consistent, high-quality client experience across all locations. You will coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on leadership to ensure readiness, compliance, and strong business results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading teams in a multi-unit retail, service, or operations environment.
• Strong client-centric mindset with experience delivering consultative client experience.
• Proven ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Experience managing day-to-day operations across multiple locations, including labor management.
• Experience leading through change and adopting new processes.
• Ability to prioritize competing demands across multiple locations.
• Experience with facilities, staffing, or compliance.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, including handling client escalations.
• Ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.
• Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 20 pounds for office readiness.
• Frequent day travel with minimal overnight travel to multiple offices.
• Schedule alignment with operating hours, including evenings/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the consultative client experience across 4-6 assigned offices, ensuring standards are executed with discipline and consistency
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations, using insights to reinforce strengths and address gaps
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes, tools, and behaviors while leading with client-centric presence
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, setting clear expectations and coaching for performance
• Provide coaching informed by observed behaviors and outcomes to strengthen team execution
• Identify patterns across offices, address performance gaps, and develop bench strength
• Own revenue, growth, operational performance, and business outcomes across offices
• Monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and implement actions to improve results
• Ensure daily operations, staffing, scheduling, labor management, and compliance across offices
• Own office readiness including facilities, equipment, supplies, recruiting, onboarding, and seasonal preparation
