Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Multi-Office Leader (Area Experience Leader) to oversee 4–6 retail offices, ensuring a consistent, high-quality client experience. You will coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, align priorities, and drive business results with strong operational oversight.

In this hands-on role, you’ll travel between offices, manage staffing and facilities, and lead through change to elevate client outcomes and revenue across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years leading teams in multi-unit retail/service/operations with accountability for performance.
• Strong client-centric mindset with experience delivering consultative client experience.
• Strong leadership capability with ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Experience managing day-to-day operations across multiple locations, including labor management.
• Experience leading through change, including adoption of new processes and ways of working.
• Ability to travel frequently in-day between offices to maintain presence.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the consultative client experience across 4–6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations to reinforce strengths and address gaps.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes, tools, and behaviors.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals with clear expectations and accountability.
• Provide coaching based on observed behaviors and performance outcomes.
• Identify patterns across offices and develop bench strength and talent.
• Own revenue, growth, and operational performance across offices.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement actions to improve results.
• Ensure daily operations across offices, including staffing, scheduling, compliance, and SOPs.
• Oversee office readiness, facilities, equipment, and recruiting for seasonal demand.
