Job summary

O-I is seeking an Area Environmental Specialist to drive environmental excellence across multiple manufacturing facilities. You will collaborate with plant leadership to ensure permit compliance, support air and water programs, and lead audits and improvement initiatives.

Travel is approximately 50% as needed to support sites. The role requires a Bachelor's in an environmental field and 5+ years of manufacturing environmental compliance experience, with strong project management and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in environmental field is required.
5+ years of environmental compliance experience in manufacturing.
Experience conducting environmental audits and compliance assessments.
Knowledge of Clean Air Act and Title V permitting.
Ability to lead initiatives and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Partner with plant leaders to ensure environmental permits and standards are met.
Provide technical support for air, water, wastewater, stormwater, waste and sustainability programs.
Conduct environmental audits and compliance reviews across multiple facilities.
Identify risks, develop corrective actions, and drive improvement plans.
Support regulatory inspections and environmental reporting.
Track environmental performance metrics and sustainability initiatives.
Coach facility leadership on best practices and compliance requirements.
Share best practices to strengthen environmental management systems.
