Job summary

Young Life in Colorado Springs seeks an Area Director I to provide spiritual leadership and manage a team to implement Young Life’s mission of introducing kids to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith.

You will recruit and train volunteers, build volunteer leadership, plan yearly ministry strategy, and collaborate with regional staff to carry out club activities, camps, fundraising, and community outreach.

Qualifications

• Must have completed Core Training —Phase One.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Proven relational skills with kids and adults.
• A call to reach kids with the Gospel.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Lead in spiritual development and team growth within the area.
• Develop a yearly ministry strategy to reach every kid.
• Recruit and train staff and volunteers to build leadership teams.
• Oversee club, campaigns and camping to model excellence.
• Coordinate fundraising activities and manage area resources.
