Job summary

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is seeking an Area Director to lead fundraising campaigns and engage communities in Kansas. You will oversee peer-to-peer events, secure local sponsorships, and train volunteers while driving revenue growth across activities.

The role requires hands-on fundraising leadership, strong relationship-building, and travel to events; the position is based in Kansas with a focus on local impact and collaboration with diverse partners.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of peer-to-peer nonprofit fundraising experience is required.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required.
• Relationship-builder that loves to be out in the community and can travel to events throughout the year.
• Strong organization and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns and events.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure revenue growth in each fundraising event.
• Secure sponsorships from local companies and increase registrants per year.
• Cultivate relationships with volunteers and train participants.
• Show the impact of fundraising and complete special projects as required.
