Job summary

AFSP Website is seeking a remote-based program and fundraising professional who will implement AFSP’s initiatives within a Colorado area. This role reports to the VP, Western Division and requires working with chapters and volunteers to execute events and programs.

The candidate should have experience in nonprofit program delivery, peer-to-peer fundraising, and strong interpersonal communication. Travel within the state is required to deliver programming and attend events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in non profit program delivery and peer to peer fundraising.
• Experience with volunteer management and event coordination.
• Experience using general office technology; Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Implement AFSP Out of the Darkness Community Walks and other fundraising within the assigned market.
• Implement approved programs within the assigned market including survivor programs, education programs and awareness initiatives.
• Develop and support the Chapter board and committees within the market.
• Develop business plans and budgets for the assigned market area with Chapter Boards.
• Manage volunteers: recruit, train, assign, and recognize within the market.
• Build relationships with community leaders/organizations to promote AFSP’s mission and increase involvement.
• Collaborate with media to publicize AFSP events and raise awareness and fundraising.
• Oversee fiscal management: vendor relations, cash handling, and accounts payable/receivable.
• Travel as needed; other duties as assigned by supervisor.
