Levy Sector in Florida seeks an Area Controller to oversee financial operations across multiple locations. You will ensure accurate reporting, robust internal controls, and budget adherence while partnering with operations leadership to drive profitability.

The role requires 5+ years of accounting/financial management experience, proficiency in budgeting and forecasting, and travel between sites. CPA preferred but not required; hospitality experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting/financial management experience.
• Experience overseeing multiple locations, preferably in hospitality/entertainment.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Proficiency with Excel and financial/accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to accounting and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and financial activities for multiple assigned locations.
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and variance reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of revenue, expenses, labor, food costs, and other key metrics.
• Partner with General Managers, Directors of Operations, and other leaders to improve financial performance.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and overall profitability.
• Investigate variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory, purchasing, and cash-handling processes.
• Support internal and external audits and resolve audit findings.
• Provide financial guidance and training to location leadership and accounting teams.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and increase profitability.
• Ensure all financial data is maintained in company systems.
• Travel regularly between assigned locations.
