D.R. Horton, America’s Builder, is seeking a Construction Area Manager to oversee multiple communities. You will supervise Project Managers and Superintendents, directing field activities, scheduling and quality control to ensure homes are built to contract specs.

You will manage costs, mentor field staff and ensure safety standards. The role requires travel to job sites and collaboration with public agencies as needed.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Seven years of related experience and/or training.
• Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Strong construction knowledge and management skills.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret construction documents, drawings, specs and schedules.
• Knowledge of permitting, regulations and building codes.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and direct construction activities in the field via Project Managers and Superintendents.
• Set build times on each plan and provide schedules to meet them.
• Manage project profitability by reviewing field purchase orders and controlling costs.
• Develop and train Project Managers and field staff for performance and safety.
• Oversee field operations to ensure quality and timely occupancy of homes.
• Ensure construction adheres to contracts, specs and company standards.
• Interface with public agencies and utilities for permits and approvals as needed.
• Travel overnight as required to sites and communities.
