Job summary

Remington Hospitality in Phoenix is seeking an Area Chief Engineer to oversee engineering and maintenance operations across 1 full-service and 3 limited-service properties in the Phoenix area. The role is based at the DoubleTree Phoenix Midtown.

You'll lead multi-property teams, develop preventive maintenance programs, manage HVAC, electrical and life-safety systems, and collaborate with General Managers to drive reliability, safety and cost control across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Extensive hotel or commercial building engineering experience.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, pool, and life-safety systems.
• Experience leading multi-property engineering teams and developing preventive maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and engineering operations across 1 full-service and 3 limited-service properties.
• Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance programs.
• Manage HVAC, boilers, chillers, plumbing, electrical, pool and kitchen systems.
• Ensure fire/life-safety compliance and building codes.
• Recruit, train, and mentor property-level engineering staff.
• Manage vendor relationships and bids for major repairs and capital projects.
• Assist with capital improvement projects and engineering budgets.
• Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
