About the Role

This full‑time, multi‑property position requires regular travel between three hotels. Candidates based in Kernersville, Mooresville, or Greensboro, NC are preferred; Charlotte‑area candidates will also be considered. This is an active, hands‑on role that combines direct repairs and inspections with team leadership and facility planning.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, coach, and support engineering and maintenance teams across three hotel properties.
• Personally troubleshoot and perform repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, carpentry, and building systems.
• Inspect properties regularly, prioritize work orders, and maintain safe, attractive, guest‑ready facilities.
• Develop and oversee preventive maintenance programs for major equipment and building systems.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building, fire, health, OSHA, and life‑safety requirements.
• Coordinate vendors, review estimates and completed work, and support engineering budgets and capital projects.
• Partner with General Managers and hotel teams to resolve maintenance concerns and minimize disruptions to guests.
• Maintain maintenance records, communicate facility needs, and respond to urgent issues as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• 4‑5+ years of hands‑on hotel engineering, facilities maintenance, or related trade experience, including supervisory experience.
• Strong practical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, boilers, and general building repairs.
• Proven ability to perform repairs personally while leading teams across multiple locations.
• Excellent organization, communication, judgment, and problem‑solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel between properties approximately 25‑50% of the work week.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and respond to maintenance emergencies, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
• Hotel brand experience, relevant trade certifications, CPO certification, and maintenance software experience preferred.
