Job summary

Mohegan Sun is seeking a skilled culinary team member to assist the Chef with daily kitchen operations. You will prep, season and plate dishes according to recipes, while training new employees in the unit’s menu and procedures.

Ideal candidates bring an associate or 2-year culinary degree and at least five years in a high-volume food operation, with strong knife skills and leadership abilities. A fast-paced environment and varied shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Associates’ degree or 2-year culinary degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of culinary experience in a high-volume hospitality operation.
• Experience teaching/train­ing and supervising culinary staff preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, seasons and garnishes foods per recipes and plating guides.
• Trains new staff on menu, recipes and procedures.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary work area and supports scheduling and payroll input.
• Assists in ordering and overall kitchen operations.
