Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Area Accounting Center Manager to lead a team of supervisors and accountants in delivering timely and accurate financial reporting and ensuring statutory compliance.

You will oversee standardized processes, capital expenditures, asset management sub-ledger reviews, audits, and all required financial filings while partnering with Area and BU leadership to drive performance and policy adherence. Strong GAAP knowledge and Oracle experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of GAAP and SOX 404 and compliance requirements.
• Experience with US state and local financial reporting laws.
• Experience with Oracle accounting software.
• Intermediate MS Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Accounting Center team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure on-time completion of financial filings and reporting deadlines.
• Support internal and external audits and tax filings.
• Oversee AP team to ensure timely vendor payments.
• Interacting with corporate functions and business units as needed.
• Interview, hire, and develop staff; coach and improve performance.
