University of Michigan Health-West is seeking an Ultrasound Tech AWS for Saturdays and Sundays (0530-1800), 24 hours per week. Under supervision, the Ultrasound Technologist will perform imaging studies and provide patient care per department protocols.

The AWS role requires ARDMS registry maintenance, AMA-approved education, and a minimum of six months ultrasound experience, with BLS certification. On-call and weekend coverage are involved.

Qualifications

• Completes AMA-approved ultrasound technology program and maintains ARDMS board registry.
• ARDMS registry must be maintained.
• Local and national society membership preferred.
• Minimum six months clinical ultrasound experience.
• Core knowledge of healthcare, anatomy and ultrasound technology.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Maintain hospital and accrediting body certifications and education requirements.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and software in daily duties.
• Provide safe, effective patient care while performing ultrasound procedures.
• Follow protocols and procedures with accuracy.
• Maintain ongoing certifications and registrations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of all protocols and procedures.
• Use AIDET consistently when communicating with patients and staff.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
