Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a per diem Sonographer to perform all radiology ultrasound exams with high skill across abdominal, obstetric, and vascular studies. The role requires ARDMS certification, a two-year Radiologic Technology program, and at least five years of experience, with on-site responsibilities at One Hospital Road.

The position emphasizes patient safety, teamwork, and efficient use of hospital information systems while supporting ongoing education and clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• Certified Sonographer with ARDMS credential.
• Minimum 5 years of ultrasound experience in abdomen, OB, and vascular imaging.
• BLS certification required.
• Two-year AMA approved Radiologic Technology program with one year clinical ultrasound training.

Responsibilities

• Secure stretcher and ensure patient safety during exams.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and verify ID bracelets.
• Maintain clean, orderly exam areas and prepare supplies for procedures.
• Provide courteous, professional care to patients and visitors.
• Collaborate with hospital staff to support team goals and patient care.
• Utilize radiology information systems as needed for patient care.
• Participate in reception, film library, and transport duties as required.
• Maintain continuing education credits and professional development.
