Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform ultrasound exams including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, and vascular studies under supervision. You will acquire high-quality images, document findings, and ensure patient safety and comfort while supporting resident training.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program credential, an ARDMS certification, and at least two years of ultrasound experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Associates degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred.
• Two years of ultrasound experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Active ARDMS certification in the specialty at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic ultrasound exams according to department protocol.
• Operates ultrasound systems and controls to acquire quality images.
• Evaluates images for quality and adjusts settings as needed.
• Documents findings with written records and enters data into Meditech.
• Assists in training radiology residents and maintains patient safety.
