The successful candidate will lead an externally funded program, teach undergrad and grad courses, mentor students, and collaborate across interdisciplinary CU Boulder institutes and centers.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science, Earth Science, Engineering, Geography, Oceanography, Physics, or a related field at appointment time.
• Record of federal funding supporting environmental intelligence research.
• Commitment to teaching and mentoring early‑career scientists.

Responsibilities

• Arctic and polar system science research.
• Oceanography and atmospheric science.
• Cryosphere-climate interactions.
• Environmental conditions affecting polar operations.
• Remote sensing and Earth observation.
