Job summary
University of Colorado Boulder’s Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in polar and/or cryospheric science. The appointee will lead a research program spanning remote sensing, in-situ observations, and numerical modeling across several cryospheric domains.
The successful candidate will join CIRES with teaching/service duties in a related CU Boulder department, with the home department decided in
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in a relevant field at the time of appointment.
- Proven potential to establish an impactful research program with extramural support.
- Strong commitment to effective teaching and mentoring of early career scientists.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an active, externally funded research program, supervise and mentor graduate students, and contribute professional service within the university and the professional community.
- Develop an internationally recognized, externally funded research program in polar and/or cryospheric science with productive collaborations.
